This is a book that many of us, especially with boys, need!
And a book that I feel every child should read at least once.

Many active kids love to run and jump around around the house,
is your child like that too?
The noise and constant action can frustrate us parents at times!
Many of us live in high-rise buildings too,
and we worry that our noisy kids would infuriate our neighbours living directly downstairs under our unit.

In this story, the grandpa living below the noisy kids
repeatedly rang their doorbell,
NOT to criticise them for causing a ruckus,
but to ask them them in a funny way,
if there were animals living in their home.

In the end, the doorbell rang again, and there was a note that said:

"From 3-6pm, there is no one downstairs,
so the zoo can open its doors! (: "

Why we love this book

  • very funny!
  • help us get our message across without overtly criticising or nagging
  • interesting illustrations that are child-like and really humorous!
  • Helps us understand that our actions affects others
  • Reminds us to be civic-minded and to be good neighbours
